Ruth Bonfield

Ruth Bonfield is an Accountant based in our Yass office, she is a local raised in the Boorowa district.

After 6 years in banking and 1 year in small business, Ruth has worked in regional accounting now for over 28 years.

Ruth has experience in preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS), Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for a range of different clients spanning from Individual clients to Small Business clients.

Amanda Green

A local, who was raised in Cootamundra, Amanda has worked at Dawson’s since 1999.

Amanda works in Superannuation specialising in taxation and compliance for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds. She is also a vital part of the Financial Services team providing support to the Financial Advisors and ensuring clients receive the highest standard of service.

Amanda has particular expertise with BGL Simple Fund and Xplan software.

Shiva Gurung

Shiva Gurung brings more than four decades of accounting, academic, and professional practice experience to Dawson Group. After completing his Master’s Degree in 1984, Shiva began his career as a Lecturer in Accounting, a role he held until 1995 before relocating to Australia. He later completed his MBA, specialising in Professional Accounting.

Shiva joined Dawson Group in May 2004 and has been a valued member of the team ever since. He is a full voting member of CPA Australia, a registered Public Practitioner, and an accredited Tax Agent. Shiva is known for his depth of technical knowledge, his commitment to clients, and his longstanding contribution to the firm.

Sally Kent

Sally is our Receptionist, providing Administration support across the firm and is responsible for compliance for all client companies.

Since 2003, Sally has been your first port of call when contacting us. She will be delighted to help you with any queries or direct you to the appropriate person for further assistance.

Charlie King

Charlie joined Dawson Group in 2026 and is based in the Cootamundra office. Originally from Goulburn and now living in Wagga, he has strong ties to Southern NSW.

After completing a Bachelor of Commerce at The University of Sydney, Charlie began his career in financial services. He has since focused on helping clients protect, manage and grow their wealth through tailored financial advice.

Charlie is passionate about investing and has dedicated much of his career to this discipline. His experience includes working with a global fund manager in London and completing three years of post-graduate study to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charterholder.

Charlie also specialises in superannuation and retirement planning. Drawing on his role at one of Australia’s largest investment and superannuation providers, and eight years in wealth management, Charlie provides robust investment, superannuation and retirement planning advice to his clients.

In addition to a Bachelor of Commerce and the CFA® designation, Charlie has completed his Master of Financial Planning and achieved the SMSF Specialist Advisor (SSA®) designation.

Charlie has a background advising high-net-worth individuals and families across Australia and internationally, helping clients develop strategies to achieve their long-term financial objectives. Helen Lynch

Helen Lynch is the firm’s Human Resources Manager and is based in the Cootamundra office.

She spent 33 years in the banking industry before joining Dawson Group in 2010.

Helen’s areas of expertise include human resources, practice management, and outsourcing.

Belinda Morrison

Belinda Morrison is an Accounting Supervisor based in Narooma, but also services Cootamundra and Goulburn clients.

She has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Finance) and has worked in Management and Financial Accounting since 2000. Her experience in Regional accounting firms has delivered a diversity across all industries, in particular Primary Production.

Belinda has remained at the forefront of accounting technology and the benefits it brings to clients with real-time access to data and administrative efficiency. She is an enthusiastic supporter of cloud accounting systems, particularly Xero and related applications.

Margot O’Connor

Margot O’Connor joined the team at Dawson Group in the Goulburn office in 2009 and has over 30 years’ experience in accounting firms.

She assists clients with the preparation of GST returns, financial statements, tax returns and wages.
Margot also looks after the Reception at our Goulburn office, and also has an excellent knowledge of contemporary software packages, assisting with training in the use of these.

Marty Reynolds

Marty Reynolds is an Accounting Supervisor and joined Dawson Group in 2009 as a founding member of our Goulburn office.

He has a Master’s Degree in Business and has worked in the accounting industry since 2005.

Marty manages a growing client list of small to medium enterprises from all industries and prides himself on his relationship with his clients. Marty specialises in business advice, accounting, FBT and other taxation issues.

Lynette Sargent

Lynette Sargent is based in the Cootamundra office and has been with Dawson Group since 2000.

She is the firm’s Superannuation Manager and specialises in taxation and compliance for self-managed superannuation funds.

Lynette has particular expertise with BGL Simple Fund software and is also a Justice of the Peace in NSW.

Jacob Sculthorpe

Jacob is a Supervisor at Dawson’s Goulburn Office and a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).

His experience spans across Sydney and Canberra based Accounting firms with a focus on Taxation and Business advisory which has allowed him to focus in on his passion to assist clients in achieving their goals.

Jacob’s primary focus is his clients and always wanting to see them succeed. Jacob specialises in taxation, business advisory, payroll, and cloud based accounting software.

Skye Tedman

Skye is a Supervisor at Dawson’s Goulburn office and a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), earning a merit certificate for the taxation module of the CA program.

She has experience in managing complex tax matters, such as small business tax concessions and tax planning, as well as delivering tailored solutions for primary producers, small to medium business operators, and investors.

Mark Valencic

Mark is an Accounting Supervisor based in our Yass office, has a Masters of Accountancy, and is a member of the Certified Practising Accountant Australia (CPA).

He has over 30 years of experience working in regional accounting firms.
Mark provides advice to clients in small and medium business across a broad range of industries and business structures, and prepares individual solutions to suit the client’s circumstances.

His advice covers all areas of taxation, accounting and business advice.
